Travelling To Brussels

1. Your possibilities:

Train n°1 (07:21): five minutes late, stopping train - forget it!
Train n°2 (07:28): five minutes late, everybody will take it, you won't have a seat - forget it!
Train n°3 (07:35): right on time, maybe empty (everybody has taken the first train) - take it!

2. Your trip to Brussels:

Your train stops without warning before arriving at Brussels South Station.
You hear that the train in front of you (is it the 07:28 train?) is out of order.
You wait till the problem is solved.
You wait almost 60 minutes. You sleep, you read, you listen to people.
Your train finally arrives at South Station.

3. Crossing Brussels:

The controler asks you to step out the train. You hear that there is another problem on the line.
You try to take another train to continue your trip, but those do not go any further.
When you decide to take the bus, you hear that the trains now ride again, and you take the first one.
You take the wrong train.
You step out at the next station to take another one.
With this new train, you reach your final destination.
Once at destination you meet the first train's controler and you wonder how he got there.

4. Conclusion:

Your trip takes almost 130 minutes instead of 40...
