Church Planting Bootcamp

We're back from Birmingham. We had a great time with our friends and met a lot of new faces. Eunice even had the opportunity to share some words of Danish with two guys from Norway! Even though we didn't meet any French-speaker (what a shame!) the bootcamp was very inspiring and we look forward to hearing from Acts 29 Western Europe.

Who would Mark be without his famous quotes? A few of them:

'We don't change God. God exists to change us.'
'If you want to be Spirit-filled follow Jesus, not the white-suit guru!'
'Church planting is basically going to work with your dad... and have a little fun along the way.'
'We want more people to meet Jesus, we want more churches, we want more real truth.'
[About preaching at the end of the service]: 'I don't want people to hear the word of God and get coffee.'

Jonathan Bell (Churchcentral, Birmingham), Neil Powell (City Church, Birmingham), Mark Driscoll (Mars Hill Church, Seattle), Steve Timmis (The Crowded House, Sheffield)

Neil Powell:
'Being a single man does not disqualify you for ministry, but being a broken man does certainly.'

Mark Driscoll:
'See where people live, play and work. Do not be missiologistically narrow, wanting to reach those 17 people instead of reaching people.'

Steve Timmis:
'Do not confuse niceness with godliness.'
'Be known for being a church which doesn't accept 'Christians' otherwise you could be stuck and your vision could die.'
