I have often heard missionaries telling stories of how they received gifts or free material when they felt the most in need. It has always amazed me and I was wondering if it would happen to us once Yann would have left his job. Then Loïs came into this world and we started seeing God's hand moving in a particular way.
Loïs was born on July, 22nd - that means 9 days before Yann's work contract ended. Thanks to the corporate group health insurance we did not pay the room at the hospital - which was quite expensive. The company lent us the car till end of August - which was perfect to go to the hospital and buy some material for the renovation work in our house before the end of the summer.
Audrey (Yann's sister) gave us more baby stuff than we needed: stroller, bed, baby swing, baby monitors, clothes,... Because we did not know the gender of our baby (we wanted a surprise) she gave us her son's most 'neutral' clothes, which means that there are plenty of 'boyish' clothes awaiting in France in case we have a boy next time. :) Anyway people offered us so many girly clothes, that Loïs barely wore her cousin's.
And now we come to the point: free clothes. In the last three weeks we have received clothes by post. A small package a week! I find it so amazing that I can really see God working for us. For the people who send us those clothes, it may be nothing - what are pajamas? For us, it means that we have barely bought stuff for our baby since she was born.
Isn't she cute in the bolero Mamie (Yann's mother) knitted for her?
